Aging

It's easy to age gracefully when your life is full of grand accomplishments. We all admire Katherine Hepburn, Jimmy Carter and Mother Theresa.

But who admires a retired auto body repairman with a persistant cough, a divorced wife and an estranged son.

It’s difficult to be old and graceful when your life is full of clumsy mistakes.

  1. It does seem a little less graceful each year. I would imagine if you spoke candidly to each of your admirable examples, they would have disenchantments, wrong turns and stumbles to count as well.
We each are precious in our own right and each small success added to the miriade other successes makes it all worthwhile.
I never had to put up with Humphrey Bogart. See that's a small success.
