The healthcare controversy

The healthcare controversy boils down to this:
Are we willing to allow corporate insurance,
pharmaceutical and healthcare profiteers
get rich because people get ill?

  1. We need to find an alternative to socializing private health providers to keep the prices down. Looks like the president wants to force everyone to buy health insurance and the government will pick up the tab for premiums people can't afford on their own. Since healthy people will be forced to pay for insurance; similar to people without children paying school taxes, "it will all even out". Since few people can afford to pay $500 per month per individual for basic health care; the government will end up paying high premiums for half the people in the country. We will be half socialized.
